Standalone Sunday is a meme created by Megan at BookslayerReads. Where each Sunday you feature a book that is a standalone (not a part of a series) that you really like and would recommend to others. (Visit the BookSlayerReads page for more info).
I can’t very well recommend a book that isn’t a love story on the very first Sunday of THE LOVE MONTH!! But, my problem is this:
Every single love book that I really wanted to recommend were a part of a series! SO I compromised, and rather than recommending a book that I didn’t absolutely love just for the sake of a recommendation, I’m choosing a book from the very tippy top of my TBR. This is one that I intend on reading next. (after the horror story that I’m sucked into like a black hole. I totally have no business reading it because I’m a seasonal bird, but I just can’t seem to help myself!)
Anyway… Back to what’s important…
One True Loves, is a book that I’m so completely engulfed with excitement to read! The reviews are more than promising. Not only that, but Cosmopolitan called it “EPIC” and I AM still searching for ‘THE’ love book. Needless to say, I’m very much holding my breath… I can’t stinking wait! So I guess with this post, I’m not only recommending a book that I don’t have a review for …. insert blushing face here…. But I’m hoping I can talk some other bloggers out there to read it this month as well, just so I have someone to talk to about it afterwards!! I’ll be posting a review, good or bad at the end of the month(ish) … So stay tuned, read it, and please please please give me some feed back.

From the author of Maybe in Another Life—named a People Magazine pick—comes a breathtaking new love story about a woman unexpectedly forced to choose between the husband she has long thought dead and the fiancé who has finally brought her back to life.
In her twenties, Emma Blair marries her high school sweetheart, Jesse. They build a life for themselves, far away from the expectations of their parents and the people of their hometown in Massachusetts. They travel the world together, living life to the fullest and seizing every opportunity for adventure.
On their first wedding anniversary, Jesse is on a helicopter over the Pacific when it goes missing. Just like that, Jesse is gone forever.
Emma quits her job and moves home in an effort to put her life back together. Years later, now in her thirties, Emma runs into an old friend, Sam, and finds herself falling in love again. When Emma and Sam get engaged, it feels like Emma’s second chance at happiness.
That is, until Jesse is found. He’s alive, and he’s been trying all these years to come home to her. With a husband and a fiancé, Emma has to now figure out who she is and what she wants, while trying to protect the ones she loves.
Who is her one true love? What does it mean to love truly?
Emma knows she has to listen to her heart. She’s just not sure what it’s saying.
