Wishful Wednesday 4-4-17.. Is there a book you could live in?

Wishful Wednesday is a Meme hosted by yours truly *Didi Oviatt – Author* where we can share the books we could see ourselves living in.  Whether it be pillow-talking your book-boyfriend (or girlfriend), casting a sleep spell on your arch nemesis, or even crossing swords with a pirate. If you could pick a book to live in, what book would it be and why?

The options are endless, and the beautiful part is that we can change our minds every week!!  If you want to list your Wishful Wednesday *I could live there* book then join in the fun!!  You’re welcome to use my WW picture, or not, whatever you prefer!  Just list your book choice of the week and link back here to  *the Wishful Wednesday Page*  and I’ll link you into my own weekly pick!!

My pick this week 4-4-17 is ….. drum roll ….. Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, by Ann Brashares.  This is actually a short collection, but the reason I chose it is because it’s based on a group of friends that go through it all. I myself have a small group of girlfriends that I have been close to since middle school.  Its one of the facts about my life that I absolutely adore! (that’s right guys, we as a group are pushing 20 years of friendship!) Once a month the ones of us who can get together DO, and the ones who can’t call. We have moved, traveled, fought and made up, we’ve even stayed together through each others marriages and divorces. I’ve been in eight wedding lines and counting. My tribe is fantastic, and reminds me very much of the traveling pants.  If there were a pare of pants that magically fit us all, we would totally use them!

DESCRIPTION:

Ann Brashares’s New York Times bestselling Sisterhood novels—The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, The Second Summer of the Sisterhood, Girls in Pants: The Third Summer of the Sisterhood, and Forever in Blue: The Fourth Summer of the Sisterhood—are available for the first time together in one ebook omni edition.

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants
Once there was a pair of pants. Just an ordinary pair of jeans. But these pants, the Traveling Pants, went on to do great things. This is the story of the four friends—Lena, Tibby, Bridget, and Carmen—who made it possible.

The Second Summer of the Sisterhood
With a bit of last summer’s sand in the pockets, the Traveling Pants and the sisterhood who wears them—Lena, Tibby, Bridget, and Carmen—embark on their second summer together.

Girls in Pants: The Third Summer of the Sisterhood
It’s the summer before the sisterhood departs for college . . . their last real summer together before they head off to start their grown-up lives. It’s the time when Lena, Tibby, Bridget, and Carmen need their Pants the most.

Forever in Blue: The Fourth Summer of the Sisterhood
With unraveled embroidery and fraying hems, the Traveling Pants are back for one last, glorious summer. It’s a summer that will forever change the lives of Lena, Bridget, Tibby, and Carmen, here and now, past and future, together and apart.

  1. Not to sound narcissistic, but if I could choose any book to live in it would be my WIP as it’s set in my favourite period in history amongst my favourite kind of people. Dangerous, but laden with adventure and excitement.
