I THINK I may have finally found a new book-boyfriend… EEEEKKKKK!!!

Is it weird that sometimes I feel like book characters are actual real live people?  I know I’m not the only person with this problem, but I think sometimes it actually IS a problem.  You see, I’ve been kind of down in the dumps lately, and I’ve had a hard time putting a finger on why.  Today I pinpointed the problem… It was actually a bitter sweet moment for me, and it all roots back to the “connection”  I have with the books I read.  I KNOW FOR A FACT that several of you will completely relate!!

Here is why I’ve been down:

Every book I’ve read since NOVEMBER has left me high and dry on the whole ‘find a new book-boyfriend’ aspect. Don’t get me wrong I’ve came across some pretty amazing characters, and if my last book boyfriend wouldn’t have been so stellar then they might have stolen my heart (so to speak lol). But, sadly they have all came up short in comparison. My last (and still somewhat current) book boyfriend was/is ATLAS from It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover.

Five months guys. Five whole months I’ve clung to this guy like some crazed adolescent lunatic. If I would have had a shirt that smelled like him I would never have washed it. But, five months really is a long time. It’s like having a long term relationship with someone that you’ll never actually see again. So lately with every book I’ve cracked open, I’m secretly hoping to replace Atlas… I know, what a heartless bitch right? But, it’s true.

I’m happy to say that I started a book last night that has a character with a very real potential of winning me over!!!   I’m only about 40% into the read but I’ve got to say my heart is THUMPING!!  I’ve really got my fingers crossed on this one, so hopefully things will end well. His name is Jamie, not an extremely manly name, but I’ll let that pass. He’s actually very young too (18 to be exact) and I’m a whapping 31, so it might even make me a cougar, but that’s okay too…. Trust me, age means nothing with this one because Jamie is ALL man!!  If you’ve read this book, then please comment and give me some hope (without spoilers)!!  I could use the encouragement because I plan on devouring the story tomorrow (and Hopefully Jamie!)…

… Here he is….

… DRUMROLL….

Didi has a great sense of humor and perfect timing for comedy….just innocently adorable. She always does great reviews that are true to the book she has read.

I’d like to introduce you to Estrada from To Charm a Killer. He has his flaws, and he’s not into monogamy, but he’s… Well, he’s Estrada.
