Gratitude, Reflection, and Celebrating 700!

It’s been a pretty crazy month in the world of Didi! I’ve kind of had one extreme to the next, which although stressful, its brought about perspective and a reflection of gratitude. I love it when life offers up opportunities to allow gratitude to really resonate. It’s humbling.

In the last month I’ve went on a couple of little road trips, spent a lot of much needed time with family, I’ve scheduled a dental surgery for my two year old (which is tomorrow BTW, so prayers and good vibes are very much appreciated!) Personal Rant , I’ve kicked up my writing a notch, picked up extra hours at the regular ol’ ‘job’, and even spent a couple of days camping in a no-service/no-wifi zone…

I know, I know, take a breath right?!?!

So first of all I want to apologize for my lack of post readings. I’ve tried to get to as many posts as humanly possible, but as you can see my time has been rather cramped. With that, I promise to read much more over the next couple weeks.  There are so many great posts to be found here, I absolutely love wordpress and I love being a nerdy book blogger!

I’m an addict lol … Do you think there’s such thing as a bloggers anonymous?

Moving on….. I don’t usually spend a whole lot of time with my family. I’ve always considered myself to have a great relationship with my brothers, but for the last few years the most time we really spend together is a day here and there every few months.  Sometimes even less. And though our conversations are always upbeat and meaningful, they don’t really happen as regularly as they should.

This month I’ve taken the time to really connect and spend quality time with both of my brothers, their wives, and all my nieces and nephews. Our children got to camp out together and the sounds of their conversations and laughter with each other as cousins has really left me feeling blessed.

I’ve also spent needed time with extended family. I went to a reunion over the weekend, there was right around 40 of us (I think). No internet or phone service =ed No distractions! Reconnecting with aunts, uncles, and cousins was great, and seeing the looks of fulfillment in my grandparents eyes was enough to really leave a life long impression of love and contentment! .. Something about fulfillment in family with age, really tugs on those heart strings!

It’s also been a month of personal growth for me as a writer!  I feel like I’ve made it through projects that at one time I could have only dreamed of actually completing.  I love to write, and I feel like I’m really tapping into a part of myself and my talents that until now has remained untouched. I’m grateful for the growth and the confidence more than words can explain.

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST……… THIS MORNING I WOKE TO THE 700 FOLLOWERS MARK!

OMG, I’m excited about this, and so overwhelmingly full of gratitude. The rest of my 100 mile-markers have been fun and funny thank yous, but in light of this months humility, I wanted to say think you in a deeper more meaningful way! So, rather than jumping around and dancing like as crazed maniac like I normally do, I want to send out a real deep kind of thank you!

It means the world to me that this blog as grown to 700 in less than 8 months! From the bottom of my heart I’m sending out 700 thank yous!  I truly love each and every one following me.. My cup runneth over!

Be honest with others that you're struggling
