Count your age along your bookshelf: What book is it?

The 31st book on my shelf is Chosen (House Of Night #3) by P.C Cast and Kristin Cast. This was a great coming of age vampire series!  I read it about 5 years ago. The first three books were great so I just went right out and bought all 12 books in the series.  Needless to say, I only made it through 9 of them and then lost interest… Maybe I’ll have to revisit someday soon, because honestly who quits such a big commitment so close to completion!! (looking back now, I’m a little disappointed in myself lol)

Pick a book set in your city/country.

For this one, I’m going to be a selfish hag and talk about my own writing. I’ve recently been working on a short story collection. It’s based on true stories about or around my own life experiences. The Time Wasters series is all about small town Utah life 🙂 … You can read more about the first set here: Time Wasters (book 1)

Eat Pray Love is a beautiful story that touched so many lives!  I would absolutely love to travel to ALL of the places that Elizabeth went to!

Pick a book that’s your favourite colour.

Me Before You, by Jo Jo Moyes recently changed the cover of her book to reflect the movie for obvious reasons lol…. But, the old cover is red with black and white writing. Red is a gorgeous color, by far my favorite!  And, the contrast of writing is beautiful!

Me Before You (Me Before You, #1)

Which book do you have the fondest memories of?

When I was about 12 years old I refused to read out loud.  My mom just wouldn’t hear of such monstrosity lol… SO  she went out and bought me a bunch the Amilia Badilia books.  Every night before bed she insisted that I read aloud to her for at least 30 minutes.  Despite all of my early protests, it ended up being a very treasured time that I was able to spend one on one with my mom.

Which book did you have the most difficulty reading?

Recently I blindly agreed to do a review swap with another Indi author without actually looking into the book first. I held up my end of the bargain, bought his book, and forced my way through.  Dispute the fact that he never even purchased my book to read, like at all lol, I still gave his a chance.  After all – every new Indi deserves a shot and who knows what happened in his life that he didn’t have time to read my own, perhaps he forgot – makes no difference.  I genuinely TRIED to get through The Legend Of The Fallen Kingdom. It’s a short book and fast paced, but I still had to force my way through. It skipped so much vital information and jumped in and out of awkward scenes to often.  I just struggled.

The Legend of the Fallen Kingdom

Which book in your TBR pile will give you the biggest accomplishment when you finish it?

I have two good friends that are waiting for me to read Six of Crows.  They nag me regularly so if I don’t dive into it soon, I might end up shot.
