“minding our own business”

If the grass IS actually greener on the other side of the fence, then its because your neighbor spends less time looking into your yard and more time tending to their own. Or, maybe they’ve lived there longer and have spent a few more years primping and pampering their greens. After all, if you share a fence line then you share the same dirt, the same water lines, the same sun rays, and even access to the same stores for tools, seeds, manure, or whatever the crap it is they’ve been using.

 Obviously by saying to “Mind our own business” I’m not talking about indulging ones self in the latest gossip about the slut down the street. I’m not referring to when we purposefully aim an eves-dropping ear to the conversation behind us in line at the grocery store either.  (although those things are also NOT recommended lol)

What I’m talking about is our actual factual ‘BUSINESS’ – in a literal sense.  We should all do better at ‘minding our business’ every single day. Just think if we were all to focus a little bit more on growing and improving our own projects (daily) rather than being envious or jealous of someone else’s hard word and success. Wouldn’t that be great!!!

I think this post is just as much a note to self as it is a broad piece of advice for whoever will take it. More than anything else it’s a reminder, because it is actually common sense. A chunk of obvious common knowledge that’s easier said than done.

So let me ask…. did you mind your business today?
