September WIP Challenge ANNIVERSARY

September 2019 is a milestone month in so many ways! Ten years ago on the 16th I said I do to a man that I’m still proud to call my husband! Caleb, and the little family we’ve created together, is my everything!! I’m still completely head over heels, and look forward to growing old with him. He’s been the love of my life and such an amazing father to our kids. I really hit the jackpot with this one!

September 2019 also represents the one year mile marker since my books were successfully merged into Next Chapter pup (previously Creativia). The contract I signed with this agency was a huge step… one that is still very much celebrated! In the one year since they accepted my books, my entire author profile has been given a major facelift. My book sales have improved, my covers are gorgeous, and the team of authors that I now get to work with are amazing!  I’ve made some dear friends along the way.

September (weirdly enough) happens to be a month that gravitates big steps in publication for me. Although dates have long since changed, and books have been republished and washed over with improvements I’ve ORIGINALLY either finished and/or published three of my books in the month of September. In a six year span New Age Lamians, Aggravated Momentum and Search for Maylee were well on their way to the hands of readers in the month of September! 

Lastly, September is the very month that I started doing the WIP Writing Challenge!!! Needless to say, it’s only proper to give the prompt for September’s WIP the theme of ANNIVERSARY!!  I’d love it if you’d join, authors. Let’s throw the characters that we already love so much into an Anniversary scene and see how they fair, shall we?!?!

HOW IT WORKS

As the initiator: Every month I’ll give a real time circumstance, hang out spot, or every day situation. I’ll post the exact scene/challenge the first week of every month.

As an Author/challenge joiner: All you need to do is use the characters from your WIP (work in progress), or even a published works, and plug them into the given scene for a short story style post. It can be funny, serious, deadly, really just whatever you want as long as it’s true to your characters (as in, what they would actually do in this situation)!! It’s a fun way to be creative with those personalities that you as their creator love so much. It’s also a fun way to introduce them to the world and your blogs, without giving away your plots and twists… Just pure ‘meet my characters, and get to know their personalities’ separate from their book.

How we work together as Authors and the Initiator:  I’ll do my own scene/challenge post on the very last day of the month (that way I can be sure to link in every joiner, and you can do your posts at your own leisure). Write your scene’s anytime you wish, at any point of the month. All that I need is your final challenge post link.
