Celebrating Over 2500 followers and a Blog-iversary!!!! #gratitude

So I got a notification the other day that said ‘Happy anniversary with WordPress!” To be honest, I kind of squished my face up a little bit and thought to myself, how can this be when I’m not rich yet? Then I laughed to myself and remembered all of the other hundreds of thousand of people who start a book blog thinking it’s their ticket into fame and fortune, until one day when they receive a four year blog-iversary reminder and realize they’re still doing it even though they’re still broke. HAHAHA then I also thought to myself, why? 

So let me just tell you….. HERE’S WHY WE KEEP BLOGGING ABOUT BOOKS:

• The fellow book lovers in this tight-nit blogosphere are such outstanding people. It’s next to impossible not to fall in love with each and every bibliophile you interact with regularly.
• Lets face it: if we love to read then we love to write, and when you love to read and write then clearly you’re going to write about what you’ve read…. Read that again, it’ll sink in deeper.
• Once you create a blog, and you dedicate so much time to it for so many years, it becomes a part of your routine and when you’ve done days or weeks without posting, it feels like something is missing… weird enough.
• Not only do us bloggers like to write blogs, but we also LOVE to read other peoples pages. It’s like Facebook for the intellectually inclined.

So there you have it guys, four years down the blogging hole for this gal, and many more to come, I’m sure!!

ALSO, on the note of everything about being a blogger and how much we love the interaction with other book bloggers and foodie bloggers and more, I also realized that I never did a milestone post when I hit 2500 followers!!!  *FACE PALM*

I used to do a post to celebrate every hundred, and then once I hit a thousand I decided to cut it back some. Which was probably a silly choice because celebration posts are so much fun, and so exciting, and once you actually start to write them you realize how f*cking awesome it really is to have so many people out there following/reading your shit!!!

See, even now, I’m getting all hot under the collar, and will likely pour myself a drink!

Okay, drink in hand, I’m back to finish my post!!! As of today I’m at 2,634 followers. I’ll cut this short because really all that matters is that I let everyone reading this know that I APPRECIATE YOU!! From the bottom of my heart, I appreciate your support, your readership, your dedication to everything bookish, and for following little ol’ me on WordPress!!!  I love and am grateful for each and every follower I have, and I can’t wait to continue reading your blogs too!  Let’s all grow together and kick the tail end of this wretched year we call 2020 in the ass crack, shall we?!?!
