Having kids is the best! My son just learned how to make coffee. I taught him so that I could talk him into making me a cups while I’m lingering in bed in the mornings… trying to function as a human. I’m absolutely not one of those spry morning weirdos who jumps up the second they wake, all cheery and full of energy. Not even close! Anyway, he was really awesome about it for a couple weeks, but then he started to half-ass it. My coffee wasn’t up to par, so I had to get up and do my own every day. He is only a kid, after all, so I let lit slide 😉
For Mothers day, his sweetness in coffee making returned. He and his little sister let me sleep in. I woke up all on my own (this never happens!) at eight o’clock. At first the quiet kind of freaked me out. BUT, it only took a few moments of laying in the silence before I could smell the coffee and hear the whispered giggles. The two of them talked about how much I would love the cards that they were so deep into making, and the gifts I’d be opening when I got up. Now, it’s been a couple of hours and I’ve been showed with love… and 4 cups of coffee lol. They’ve also cleaned their rooms, fed the animals and have vowed to pamper me all day. I’m feeling so very blessed!
