Can we just take a minute to talk about the best birthday gift ever. My mom gave my son such an awesome set up for his tenth birthday. These books have been around for a long time, and I never knew how awesome they were until now. My son is absolutely OBSESSED with them. Let me make clear, this was much much much much more than just a book set gift…..

She seriously gave him the box set, the field guide (which WOW!!) the movie AND she’s an extremely talented painter so she totally painted him a picture of his favorite looking character… which actually turned out to be one of his favorite characters to read, go figure!!

Let me just show you canvas printed copy of her painting – yes it was that great, we made copies!!!

Also let me show you the books. They’re captivating for a kid, he absolutely loves them, and there’s just enough pictures inside to make it exciting without overdoing it, so he can still paint the whole picture mentally. – I didn’t take a picture of the movie **Face palm**
