October WIP Challenge Prompt: Bewitched!!

October is one of my favorite months! I mean really, when else can you eat way too much and then hide the overworked waistline of your jeans with a loose sweater and still be comfortable, both in body temp and in a sense of fashion? When else can you get away with playing dress up and then hiding around corners to scare both loved ones AND strangers alike? 

This morning I had three pumpkin spiced coffees with extra creamer just because… I didn’t even feel guilty! October is the month of celebrating all things weird, and that’s freaking awesome in every way you can possibly look at it!!

That said, I kind of struggled deciding just what kind of spooktacular theme to run with on the WIP challenge. A couple of bloggers who participate monthly mostly write romance, which I love so I didn’t want anything too gory or nasty. I really love the feel of their work and want them to be able to keep the imagination show a’ rollin’ realistically!!

SOOOOO I’m going WIIIIITTTTTTHHHH.

BEWITCHED!!!

Break out those potions and lotions you fantastic October writers you! I want to see those characters that we already love so much under the spell of all spells. You can take this any ‘witch’ way you’d like (yes pun intended muah-ha-ha-ha)… I can’t wait to see what you come up with, almost as much as I can’t wait to come up with my own scene!

Good luck writers and happy pumpkin spice overload month!!!  Do something great with yourselves, and your characters, as you deserve it just as much as they do!!

HOW IT WORKS

As the initiator: Every month I’ll give a real time circumstance, hang out spot, or every day situation. I’ll post the exact scene/challenge the first week of every month.

As an Author/challenge joiner: All you need to do is use the characters from your WIP (work in progress), or even a published works, and plug them into the given scene for a short story style post. It can be funny, serious, deadly, really just whatever you want as long as it’s true to your characters (as in, what they would actually do in this situation)!! It’s a fun way to be creative with those personalities that you as their creator love so much. It’s also a fun way to introduce them to the world and your blogs, without giving away your plots and twists… Just pure ‘meet my characters, and get to know their personalities’ separate from their book.

How we work together as Authors and the Initiator:  I’ll do my own scene/challenge post on the very last day of the month (that way I can be sure to link in every joiner, and you can do your posts at your own leisure). Write your scene’s anytime you wish, at any point of the month. All that I need is your final challenge post link.
